The Center for Environmental Education and Information was founded in 1990 as a 501c3 Idaho non profit corporation and became the stepchild of the Hemingway Institute of Ketchum, Idaho.
CEEI became a custodian of the Clean Water Act and polluted American streams in general during its formative period. All of this changed when CEEI learned of the ACIA report made to Congress regarding the Warming of the Arctic Climate Report.
CEEI's main mission is to provide environmental information for the educational community at large, suitible for use in the classroom. Check out Streams, Species, Climate and News.
To come are Eco-pedia, Habitat, and Clean Air. Eight more sites are scheduled for spring 2007.
